Safety and handling
Corrosive handle with protection
Concentrated acid slurry causes skin and eye irritation or burns on contact, so gloves and eye protection are required when handling.
- Neutralise carefully with caustic soda or soda ash the reaction is strongly exothermic.
- Viscous liquid that thickens in cold conditions; store in sealed drums away from direct heat and alkalis.

Both are the same chemical, linear alkylbenzene sulphonic acid, at different active matter concentrations. 96% has less water and free sulphuric acid, giving you more active surfactant per kilo, which changes your dosing and neutralisation calculations. Most standard detergent formulations use 90%.
Yes, in its concentrated form it's corrosive and can cause skin and eye burns on contact. Standard handling requires gloves, eye protection, and careful neutralisation, since the reaction with alkali is exothermic.
Acid slurry ships in 40kg and 50kg drums. Our minimum order quantity is 500kg; above that, we supply any quantity your production needs.
In sealed drums, in a cool area away from direct sunlight and alkaline materials. It's viscous and thickens in cold weather, gentle warming restores flow if needed.
